Cala Bassa – Ibiza

Cala Bassa is one of Ibiza best beaches, usually awarded with blue flag because of the incredible clarity and blue water.

Furthermore, due to the slight slope we find in the first few meters of the beach, Cala Bassa water usually has a comfortable temperature, so the sea invites you to come and take a dip.

Remember to take your snorkeling equipment with you, as hundreds of fish can be seen under the water in Cala Bassa… even they can bite your feet!

The only drawback is that Cala Bassa in peak season, of course, is a very popular beach, so if you arrive early, you might manage to find a place to put our towel. Moreover, Cala Bassa is surrounded by a small and nice forest, where many people have a nap under a pine or a sabine.

Another point that attracts people to Cala Bassa is the cliff jumping. Although it’s a small height, perfect for the uninitiated, many people have fun jumping there. Following the coast to the right of Cala Bassa’s you will find higher cliffs from where you can jump.

Restaurant

There are a few restaurants in Cala Bassa. The most famous is just at the beginning of the beach and owns the most close to the beach parking. It’s called Cala Basa beach Club, and is also known as CBbC. With the parking ticket you can also get a drink for free at the restaurant, so enjoy your day at this incredible beach.

How to get to Cala Bassa?

Cala Bassa is one of the best beaches near San Antonio, so it’s the perfect place to visit if you are staying there.

To go to Cala Bassa, you can go from San Antonio or Port des Torrent following the traffic signs to Cala Tarida, Cala Comte and Cala Bassa logically. If you want to go from Ibiza, the quickest way is to go to San Jose, then go ahead until you find the same detour. Cala Bassa is usually a very crowded beach, and you may have to park along the road if you don’t want to pay to leave the car in the parking area.
