Cala Jondal – Ibiza beach

Once you arrive to the water wou will understand the reason for Cala Jondal fame: water is always transparent, always shines, is clean and clear! It’s all a joy to get into the water in summer, which is usually at a perfect temperature for bathing, swimming and being able to see perfectly the seabed and fish.

Needless to say that Cala Jondal is a privileged place to practice diving. If you dive for ten minutes to the right, you will arrive to a small cove called Es Xarco.

Unfortunately, not everything is perfect. Cala Jondal beach is formed mainly of boulders, rounded stones, so lying there is uncomfortable at some points if you don’t have a towel. Entering to the water is even dangerous because boulders are slippery. But don’t worry, in you can get to the water through gangways to dodge rocks area and arrive comfortably into the sea.

Cala Jondal is also known for its beach bars that stands by the sea: in them you can enjoy a delicious fish, drink some champagne, and dance while you see the sunset. The music starts playing louder at dusk and everyone dance by the sand or in the terrace. If you are thinking in famous Blue Marlin beach bar, you are right.

To go to Cala Jondal, you have to go to the airport of Ibiza, south of the island. Just before arriving, you will find a roundabout with a detour to Can Tomàs, follow it and you will go in the direction of the signs of Cala Jondal. following a well-paved curvy road arrive though, right next to the branch to Sa Caleta and then Cala Jondal.

Following a narrow path, you will have access to different restaurants and beach bars like Es Savinar, Blue Marlin or Tropicana. Don’t worry, you will have space to park your car in Cala Jondal.

Remember that you shouldn’t drive under the influence of alcohol in any way, because there are many people who get in the car with after being partying in the different bars of Cala Jondal.
