Cala d’Hort is certainly one of the best beaches in Ibiza for many reasons.

Undoubtedly, what makes Cala d’Hort is a special and magical place is the stunning island of Es Vedra rising 385 meters from the sea off the cove. His unmistakable figure and size make this from all corners of Cala d’Hort, it is impossible to look away from such incredible rock.

In fact, Es Vedra, is some hundred meters from Cala D’Hort but its impressive size seems to be closer to us when we entered the water. When in the 90 some businessmen planned to build a golf course and other buildings in Cala d’Hort, Ibiza people reacted against the destruction of this area of high environmental value. Finally Cala d’Hort was declared a natural park and nowadays we can enjoy the beauty of your surroundings today.

The views from Cala d’Hort are just impressive and it’s worthy to visit this beach just for this reason. Cala d’Hort is mainly a sandy beach, although we can find little stones and some rocks that seems to make this place a wild beach.

Cala D’Hort is also a benchmark for gourmets in Ibiza, especially fish. We found some restaurants on the beach from where we have spectacular views of Es Vedra and we can enjoy Bullit de peix, a delicious dish.

How to get to Cala d’Hort?

To reach Cala D’Hort is recommended to go by car, as the buses do not go often and the road is only recommended for experienced cyclists due to the steep slopes that you will find ont the way. Moreover, we have to prevent you that is not easy to find a car park, so try to go early. We can go to Cala d’Hort from San Jose or from San Antonio just following the traffic signs.

Keep in mind that the park is small Cala D’Hort and in summer the beach is usually crowded, so you will probably have to leave your car on the slope leading down to the cove and take a short walk to the beach.
